The document aims to analyze the attitudes of young Christians

toward the social protest that took place in Colombia in 2021. A qua-
litative methodology is employed, based on interviews, focus groups,

and participant observation, following a three-dimensional attitude
model that examines cognitive, affective, and conative-behavioral
components. The results reveal a high level of youth involvement in
peripheral events and in the protest itself, creating dilemmas within
the ecclesial circle regarding the implications of their participation.
Significant challenges are identified in the formation and training of
young people for appropriate engagement in these settings. The study
concludes with an analysis from the social sciences on how Christian

youth respond to sociopolitical challenges, categorizing their attitu-
des in terms of opposition and resistance. The implications suggest

the need for formative initiatives within faith communities to better
prepare young people to respond to social crises.
