Abstract

The present article seeks to provide epistemological guidelines based on an analysis of the role of language in human sciences such as theology, in relation to the construction of knowledge and the interpretation of reality. The study begins with a brief discussion concerning the concept of paradigm, followed by a proposal for a paradigm of a more interpretive nature, which will aid in theological research challenges.First of all, as an interpretive science, this paradigm that emerges from language and theology, allows us to understand the diverse nature of dogmatic systems in theology. Secondly, it allows us to propose a criterion for the theological discernment of reality in research. It is necessary to deepen our understanding of this area of study given the complex challenges of reality and its interpretation. The study concludes by placing subject and language at the center of theological knowledge and the construction of dogmatic systems, as a concrete manifestation.
