This article represents an interpretation from the book of Ruth to show how women struggle for their rights and use their resources in order to obtain acceptance and significant changes for themselves and
others, becoming creative partners in the process. In this way, they participate in constructing another possible world and help to institute a peaceful society, especially from the experience of exile. This is a
perspective that is different than the norm, but rather from the edge, from below, the place that a patriarchal society with its hierarchy has given to women and to overlooked groups such as aliens, orphans,
and widows.
