This article analyzes the Pastoral Letter issued during the Fifth La-tin American Congress on Evangelism in San Jose, Costa Rica, from a theological and hermeneutical perspective. This document is in the middle for converging different voices and sectors of Protestantism of today. For this analysis we suggest three axes around which we seek the theological meaning of the Charter: the understanding of God, the idea of plurality and public ecclesial action. The conceptual approach goes through some concepts of postcolonial theory and then compare them with those concepts that let Liberation Theology printed on In-tegral Mission. With this in mind, at the end we try to leave a possible institutional landscape to understand next challenges for FTL.
