Los salmos de lamento

This essay proffers the use of wail Psalms like instruments of holistic health in the work of Pastoral Care. Although, we findthis psalms in the catholic liturgy and especially orthodoxy, as a general rule they haven´t been part of our cults nor have they been used in the Pastoral Care as a means to produce holistic health. The actual communities live among traumas, losses of any kind, violence, death, relocation, des-pair, and depression; the wail psalm offers the counselor a medium through comprehensive health minis-try. These psalms express the emotions in an intensive way and helps the person “findtheir voice”, to present their complaint and petition to God. The process ends not only in response and health but gratitude and praise.
